Ojancanu
A downloadable Tale for Windows
Take care of your ancestors, live the solitude, return to the mountain.
Ojancanu is the reflexive journey of the last great ojancano, a mythological character of Cantabrian folklore: a giant cyclops that inhabits the valleys.
We have used this tale to reflect on the death of our lineage, our culture and our support networks. But above all to reflect on loneliness and our own identity when there is no one left to perceive us. Does this sisyphic work make sense when there is no one left? And when we are no longer here, who will take care of what we were, of maintaining our memory? Will it make sense to keep it at all?
This experience has been possible thanks to the BRIEFS project

Brilliant.
Disfrute de Ojancanu, tios! The overall minimalist art direction is quite elegant, the right choice for the subject matter. I appreciated how the role of humankind, or more precisely its fate, wasn't entirely what I was expecting from a tale of mythological extinction. Fitting for anthropocene.
Music is really good, sets the tone. Art style fits to the topic perfectly. ๏-)
